    Ferdinand (Fred) Leiser was born in Shawnee County KS to Albert Leiser and Lena Schmidt. He spent most of his childhood on an extended family farm near Madison KS. He joined the Army as a blacksmith and retired as an E9. He married Mildred Brees. After retirement they moved to Alta Vista KS where he passed away.
