Ezubah's newly widowed father James Taylor married Chloe Stansell before Ezubah was yet 3 years old.

Ezubah had a difficult relationship with her step-mother Chloe and her step-sister of the same age, Rosalia Stansell.

Like Rosalia, Ezubah married before she was yet 16 years old. It was reportedly a happy marriage.

  7. Given names adapted from Azubah (v 18) and Zeruiah (v 16) in I Chronicles 2 according to a daughter of Nettie (Wilson) Hamstra.
  8. It appears she was named for her mother's oldest sister Ezubah (Brewer) Lovell.
