Auburn Newspaper Friday February 15, 1860- Death-Talladay, George, son of Nelson Tallady of Clarksville. Yesterday while water being drawn from a dam at Wadesworth Sythe Manufactory in Clarksville for purpose of searching for Mrs. Mitchell, several boys running back and forth across dam 2 fell ion George and Ezra Hamlton. Ezra grasped a log and held on intil Master Edward Morse plunged in and rescued him. Tallady fell in hole in dam and water swept him away. Arm caught between rocks. 20 minutes before they got him out. In the 1889 and 1890 Auburn City directory he was a superintendent of mail carriers at the post office. In 1891-2 he was a barkeeper at White's Hotel. His address remained 9 McMaster. Lulu Hamilton Rossiter Harding went to his funeral as a child. He had 2 daughters. References
