From the family bible information we think that Ezra was married on March 2 of 1830. Whoever transcribed the dates from the bible had written 1850 but we think he died in 1846. We know his second marriage took place in 1837. His first wife's name was Nancy; info. found on a land record Frank Borror, another DERR researcher, had. That record was dated June 30, 1834.

Don't know what the middle initial "D" stands for but it's shown in the transcribed copy of the bible records from Dorotha Derr Avery, Kenton, OH.

In the Wayne Co., OH census for 1830 he's listed with a wife who is between 20 and 30; no children. 1840 Logan Co., OH census shows he has a wife between 20 and 30 and 2 girls; one under 5 and one between 5 and 10. These girls must have been Mary Ann, (by Ezra's first wife) born 1831 and Margaret Jane, born 1839.

Per e-mail from Steve Holland, Derr researcher, Ezra is buried in Irish Grove Cemetery in Menard Co., Illinois.
