    Ezekiel (Wathen), bp. at St Nicholas, Bristol, 15 April 1636; d. at Amesbury, Mass., 15 June 1716; m at Salisbury, Mass, 4 Dec 1661, Hannah Martin, dau of George1 and Hannah (-----) Martin. He was apprenticed to Thomas Abree, 27 Aug. 1644, at the age of eight and one half years. On 24 Nov 1657 he administered the estate of his "kinsman" [cousin] Thomas Wathen, late of Gloucester. Ezekiel resided in Amesbury and had a family of eleven children. He is called "Worthen" in later records.

    Wathen, or Wathin, Ezekiel, Amesbury, sw. alleg. Dec. 1677. It may be that he was s. of that John Watten, dec. on whose est. at the Gen. Ct. Oct. 1654, admin. was giv. to capt. Brian Pendleton, "that some course may be taken for relief of his wid." See Col. Rec. III. 366. Pendelton was a selectman of Portsmouth, and Watten was one of the mem. of ch. May 1640. See Geneal.
