1810 U.S. Census shows Ezekiel Porter living in Livingston Co., KY. Included in household are: one male under age 10, one male age 26-45, two females under age 10, one female age 26-45, and four slaves. William E. Phillips to Ezekiel and Polly Porter 300 acres on waters of Pigeon Roost and Piney, being land whereon Porters now live and which was promised to them should they come to settle it, being part of a 400 acre tract taken up by a certificate laid in name of Patsy Travis and assigned by her to Wm. E. Phillips to whom it was given by a patent 15 of last April, adj. Wm. Clark, Travis' or Coleman's lines, in consideration of love and goodwill for his brother-in-law, Ezekiel Porter and his only sister, Polly. Wit: Wm. Stewart, Wm. E. Phillips, Jr., John Blackley. Signed: Wm. E. Phillips. Proven by oath of William Stewart 21 Aug. 1815 and by John Blackley 2 Feb. 1819 and rec. at request of Ezekiel Porter.
