A census was conducted on February 2, 1668 and found forty-three inhabitants or heads of families residing in Stonington, including Ezekiel Main. Town lots were laid out for each inhabitant and assigned by lottery. Title to the lot was given on the condition that the lot be built upon and inhabited within six months and resided on for a period of two years.S2

Ezekiel was listed as a volunteer in the Narragansett wars.S2
