Evalena "Teeny" loved to play cards. She sometimes got upset if she didn't win, and was known to throw the cards out the door. She said she was just "airing them out." Before telephones, she communicated between her home and that of her married sister by putting a white cloth in the window. It could be seen from an adjacent hilltop by her sister. This meant to come over and visit.
