Services at Minnora For Mrs. Ettie Knotts

Mrs. Ettie D. Knotts, 80, of Spencer died Wednesday, Jan. 16 at her home after an extended illness.

She was the widow of Charles C. Knotts, who died in 1932, and belonged to the Walnut Methodist church.

Born April 19, 1882, in Calhoun county, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Mary Mollohan Duffield. She had been a resident of Roane county for 16 years.

Surviving are six daughters, Sadie Arnold, Vienna, Reva Gibson, Floe, Maire Arnold, Chloe, Opal Weekely, Minnora, Jean Woods, Charleston, and Juanita Siers, Spencer; four sons, Lee Knotts, Spencer, Cecil Knotts, Wadsworth, Ohio, Bernard Knotts, Mason; two sisters, Bina Siers, Vienna and Ursley Shawver, Williamstown; a brother, Scott Duffield, Grantsville, 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 18, at Minnora Methodist church with the Rev. K. L. Cruikshanks and Rev. Robert Chenoweth officiating. Burial was in the Duffield cemetery at Chloe.
