Esther's obituary reads, "OBERLEY. Esther Oberley, aged 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Oberley, of Jackson township, died at 6 o'clock Sunday morning in St. Joseph's hospital, of appendicitis. She was a member of the St. Louis Catholic church at Besancon and was a pupil of the Jackson township school. Surviving are the parents; two sisters, Edwin and Eileen; one brother, Robert, at home, and four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oberley, of Jefferson township, and Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Morrey, of New Haven. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home and at 9:30 o'clock at St. Louis Catholic church. Burial in the Besancon cemetery."
