In the 1850 census taken on Sept 6, 1850 Esther was 43 and inthe 1860 census taken on August 15, 1860 she was 52. We candetermine that she was born between August 15 and Sept 6 in theyear of 1808. In the 1870 census she was living alone giving evidence thatHardy had passed away sometime before. In the 1880 census Union Township, she was living with her oldservants and thier children who obviously did not leave her whenthey were freed. She is still living down from her brother inlaw Lott and his wife.
