BRANXTON
Late Mrs. Richardson
The funeral of the late Mrs. Esther Jane Richardson, who died recently in Branxton, moved to the Methodist portion of the Branxton cemetery, East Branxton. Deceased, who was the wife of Mr. Abraham E. Richardson, was one of the oldest and most highly respected members of the local community, and a member of a large pioneering family. Deceased, who was formerly Miss Esther Jane Freel, was born in Branxton on March 4, 1857, and lived practically the whole of her life in this district. She was one of the original members of the Methodist Church Aid. She was noted for her altruistic tendencies and was always happy when helping others, especially in cases of sickness. She is survived by her husband, five sons, Messrs. Clem, Wilton, Clive, Manton and Reg Richardson, two daughters, Mesdames A. E. Pethick and B. Cotton, and eight grandchildren. Rev. Mr. Gorrell officiated at the graveside. Messrs. Clem, Reg and Wilt Richardson (sons) and J. Sneddon (nephew) acted as pallbearers. Wreaths were received from the following: Husband, Bella and the girls, Clem, Linda and Betty, Wilt and Reg, Arthur and Mill, Clive, Alma and Yvonne, Manton, Florrie and family, Ben, Madge and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Redgrove and family, Mrs. Woodland and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. Stuart and family, the Branxton sub-branch of the R.S.- S.I.L.A., the Women's Auxiliary of the Branxton sub-branch of the R.S.S.I.L.A. Mr. and Mrs. N. Jacobs and family, Branxton Methodist Ladies' Church Aid Numerous letters, telegrams, and messages of condolence were received.
