BICKERSTAFF
Mrs. Stella Kuhns Bickerstaff, 90, 2612 Bickerstaff Rd., North Huntingdon (Paintertown), died in her home this morning (Aug. 26, 1975). Born Feb. 5, 1885, in Paintertown, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Theresa Loughner Kuhns. She was a member of Paintertown Lutheran Church, charter member of Pythian Sisters and a member of Civic Club of Paintertown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Calvin Bickerstaff April 11, 1964, and also three sons, Lawrence in 1925, Theodore in 1933, and William in 1968. Surviving are four children, Samuel, Gaylord and Robert all of Paintertown; Mrs. Theresa Shields, Greensburg; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jane Rogan, Paintertown. Friends will be received at Vincent V. Rodgers Funeral Home, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., beginning 7 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held in funeral home chapel Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Russell McCullough and Rev. Nevin Crouse officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
