(Research):Ernest was only 1 year old when his family moved to Hamilton. Sometime before 1909 he met Nancy Pye in Hamilton and for unknown reasons, they went to Del Ray (Detroit), MI to be married and returned to Hamilton. They produced six children in Hamilton (including Norris who died at age 2), and moved the family to Detroit about 1925. However, an exhaustive search of the 1930 US Census, including variations on the name and searching all first names Ernest, Erna, etc in the Detroit area for those born in England or Canada, did not find any of them.
