- ↑ "SUIT FOR DAMAGES - Suit for $2,000 damages claiming personal injury hasbeen encountered in Circuit Court by Frank Pollack, Hagerstown, onbehalf of his son, Melvin Pollack, against Ernest R. Eccard, thiscounty. The accident occured April 13, last while the infant plaintiff,it is claimed, was in the act of stepping on a sidewalk, on North CantonAvenue, Hagerstown. An automobile owned or operated by Eccard, it issaid, struck the boy, knocked him down and ran over him, causinginjuried to legs and arms. Negligence of the defendant is blamed for themishap. The suit is entered by Leo H. Miller, Hagerstown attorney."
