"INDENTURE OF Airhart BURNER & ANN his wife & Henry BURNER his son:
"This Indenture made the 3rd day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and ninety three Between Airhart Burner and Ann his wife of the County of Shenandoah and State of Virginia of the one part and Henry Burner of the same County and State of the other part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the natural love and affection which they have and bear to the said Henry Burner their Son as for and in Consideration of the sum of Two hundred pounds Current money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said Henry Burner at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge They the said Airhart Burner and Ann his wife have given granted Bargained sold aliened released and Confirmed and by these presents do give grant Bargain sell alien--released and confirmed unto the said Henry Burner and his heirs two certain tracts or parcels of Land Situate lying and being in Powels Fort in the said County of Shenandoah the one tract was co nveyed to the said Airhart Burner by Deeds of Lease and Release from Simon Morgan and Margaret his wife bearing date the 16th day of December 1764 and Recorded in the County Court of Frederick and is bounded as followeth Beginning on the East side of Passage Creek at a black oak white oak and Spanish oak standing on the top of a hill and running thence N44 E Crossing the said Creek at two Sundry places one hundred and seventy nine poles to two pines and a black oak standing on the east side the said Creek on the side of a hill thence S 46 East one hundred and seventy nine poles to a Chestnut and Spanish oak Saplins and a large pine standing near the foot of a hill thence E44 Wone hundred and seventy nine poles to the three black oaks Standing on the brow of a high hill thence N 46 W one hundred and seventy nine poles to the Beginning containing two hundred acres (be the same more or less) the other tract was granted to the said Airhart Burner by Patent bearing date the 13th day of September 1777 and is bounded as followeth towit Beginning at a pine on a hill Corner to his own Land Extending S84 W twenty poles to Passage Creek and then running up the Creek SW thirty four poles to a Lynn and a Chestnut oak Extending S23 W forty poles to a white oak on the side of hill thence S 67 E Eighty two poles to two pines then N53 E fifty four poles to three young white oaks at the said Burner own line and thence along the same 48 W one hundred and five poles to the Beginning Containing forty nine acres (the same more or less less) And all houses Buildings & Orchards ways waters water Cources profits Commodities and appurtenances whatsoever to the said pr emises hereby Granted or any part thereof Belonging or in any wise Appert aining and the Reversions and Reminders Rents issues and profit thereof To have and to hold the said Land hereby Granted at and every part and par cel thereof and their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Henry Burner his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Henry Burner and of his heirs and assignes forever A d the said Airhart Burner and Ann his wife forthemselves their heirs an d assigns the said Lands heraditaments and premises to the said Henry Burner his heirs and assignes against them the said Airhart Burner and Ann his wife and their heirs and Assigns and against all and every other perso n and persons Whatsoever Shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said Airhart Burner and Ann his wife have hereunto set their hand and Seals the day and year first within Written
