Facts and Events
The family moved to Nova Scotia during the Revolutionary War. Lydia, at least, was in Salem, Connecticut by 1813. According to Don Beebe of Calgary, Canada, Ephraim and Anna are the ancestors of the noted Beebe researcher John D. Morrell. Ephraim inherited at least a portion of the farm from his father. Reading the will, it appears each son inherited one third of the land. As the will reads, Ephraim received " ... such a part of my farm which I now live on...", "... with a reserve of half the fruit from the orchard and the north east part of the cellar for ten years for the use and benefit of my other two sons Elijah and Elias..." |
