Recent rites held for ex Grady man

Funeral services for a former Curry county resident, the Rev. E. H. Harper, 87, were held recently at the Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford, Texas. Burial followed at the Grady cemetery.

Rev. Harper, a retired Baptist minister, had held pastorates in New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. He was a Grady resident at one time.

Besides his wife, Ellen, he is survived by seven sons, two daughters, 78 grandchildren, six great -grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Children living in this area are Mrs. Callie Taylor, 1112 Hinkle, Clovis; John of Grady; and Roy of Portales. A step- son, Everett Lovvorn also resides at Grady.
