Enoch Swain was blind in the left eye. When he was 15, he was working at a coal mine. It was winter time and they were eating dinner around the fire. Some people threw explosive caps into the fire. The caps exploded and a piece of metal flew into Enoch's left eye. This caused him to go blind in his left eye. This story was told by Marion Wesley Swain, Enoch's son.

Enoch's World War I Draft Card says he was born on the 27th of November 1878.

Enoch's and his wife, Florence, tolk there kids to the river to get baptized into the LDS church. Enoch took half the kids and went fishing. Florence tolk the other half to get baptized.
