After his first marriage, Enoch and his wife, Micheal Clary, moved to Oxford Twp., Guernsey Co., OH, where they were residing in 1820. Enoch purchased 81.5 acres of land in Range 7, Township 9, Section 15 of Guernsey Co., OH, in 1825. He built a log cabin not far from where the family cemetery, God's Knob, is located. (He later purchased an additional 40 acres from Nathaniel Clary, uncle of his first wife.)

In 1841, Enoch and his second wife, Esther Coles, deeded a tract of land to the first Christian Church of Guernsey County. The family cemetery became the church cemetery where many of its charter members are buried. The church is built atop the highest point in Guernsey County, thus the name, God's Knob. While most of the charter members of the church, other than Enoch, are well marked with sandstone grave markers, most of Enoch's family members are in unmarked graves. Their existence was evidenced only by depressions in the ground and stories circulated by elderly family and church members. The following is taken from the Directory of the Central Christian Church in Quaker City, OH: "In 1817, a small group of spirited Christians, including Isaac Perego, J. W. Arnold, Jonathan Garrett, William Henderson, Washington Rose, Archie Carnal, Enoch Galloway, and Basil Johnson, organized an independent congregation at the Knob Meeting House, two miles north of Quaker City. The land had been given the group by Enoch Galloway and the building constructed was valued at $100."

He was a farmer all of his life, but in the 1830's he built a water-powered grist mill across the road from his cabin. This grist mill was one of the first such mills in Millwood Township and was known in later years as "Galloway's Mill." His son John would continue to operate the mill into the 1880's.

After the death of his daughter-in-law, Lucinda (Lowe) Galloway, his son James moved west to California and then on to Oregon. James left his two young children, Elizabeth Anne and William Henry, in Enoch's care in September 1858 in Millwood Twp., Guernsey Co., OH.

Enoch died intestate in Guernsey Co., OH. There was little to divide among his heirs other than mostly sentimental personal property and a few remaining acres of land. Samuel Carter & Isaac "Perrigo" were the administrators of Enoch's estate. (These gentlemen were co-members of the Christian Church at God's Knob. Isaac was the brother to Enoch's 3rd & 4th wives, Sarah & Mariah Perego.)
