OBITUARY ROY FUNERAL TO BE MONDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Roy, 72, mother of Clarence Roy, president of the Allen county board of commissioners and Indiana County Commissioners association, who died Thursday at Memorial hospital in Sturgis, will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Louis Catholic church at Besancon, Rev. Joseph Hession officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The deceased was a former resident of Jefferson and Jackson townships in Allen county, and resided at White Pigeon, Mich. at the time of her death, which was due to diabetes and anemia. Born in New York state, Mrs. Roy came to Allen county as a young girl and resided here until 20 years ago. She was a member of St.Louis church. Mr. and Mrs. Roy celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four years ago. Survivors include the husband, Louis; five daughters, Mrs. Orma Martin of Three Rivers, Mich, Mrs. Irene Sorgen of this city, Mrs. Florence Porter of Elkhart, Mrs. Hilda Byrd of White Pigeon and Mrs. Angeline Nelson of Shipshewanna; four sons, Leo and Clarence of this city, Francis of jefferson township, and Allen Roy of White Pigeon; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Amount received $150.86 Paid out 39.83 Balance on hand $110.03 John Nail was instructed to find good parties to loan money to as soon as possible or he would be charged with interest on the money. The ward lives in Fort Wayne, employed as a domestic and is about 16 years old.

25 Feb 1885Final settlement of $68.87 was paid to Emma M. Roy, now 18 years old and married to Louis Roy, over 21 years of age. Account was examined, approved and guardian is discharged.
