OBITUARY FROM THE SANDY CREEK NEWS EMMA J. NASH Mrs Emma J. Nash left her earthly harbor Mar 11, 1931 at 2:30 p.m. and sailed triumphantly toward the harbor of the setting sun. She was the second daughter of Harrison and Lois Robertson Peck, born April 18, 1854 on the farm now owned by J. A. Cook, and lived there until her marriage to Frank L. Wilde. Three sons were born to this union, one of whom survives, Marshall P. Wilder of this town. She began her married life on the Lewis L. Wilde farm and later moved to Pulaski. After her marriage to Andrew Nash she resided on a farm in the southwestern part of Sandy Creek. Upon his death, she made her home with her grandson, Leon L. Wilder, in Syracuse. The past year of her life was given to the care of Mrs. Charles Potts and she remained at the Potts home until ill health made it necessary for her to enter for surgical treatment at the House of the Good Samaritan, the result of which proved fatal. Surviving her are three sisters, Mrs Mary Williams, Adams; Mrs Delia Mary, Pulaski; and Mrs Ella Baldwin, Mannsville; one son Marshall P. Wilde, Sandy Creek; also three grandsons, R. M. Wilder, Syracuse; R. W. Wilde, Sandy Creek and Grant Wilder, Oklahoma, one grand-daughter, Mrs Audrie Wilder, Lacona and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her memorial service was held from the Congregational Church Friday afternoon, March 13, Rev. T. T. Davies officiating. The casket was placed in the mortuary chapel in Woodlawn cemetery to await burial in the spring. The floral tribute was in keeping with the fragant life called home.
