Obituary - April 1, 1887 - May 24, 1937 The depressing announcement that Mrs. Emile Wolfe had lost a brave struggle against a nervous breakdown, a condition which seemed practically hopeless, cast a pall of sadness over this community Monday forenoon. The end came peacefully, but unexpected. Emma Fastenow was born in Milk's Grove Township, April 1, 1887, the daughter of Christ adn Sophia Fastenow, where she grew to lovely womanhood. On Jan. 12, 1910, she was united in marriage to Mr. Emile Wolfe. To this union, nine children were born - Henry, Edward, Mildred, August, Irene, and Louise, all at home and who join with their grief-stricken father in mourning the loss of a beloved and dutiful mother and wife. Three children preceded their mother in death. Funeral services will be conducted from the late home, southwest of Chebanse, this Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and from Chebanse Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. W Winter officiating, at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. During the years of her residence in this community, Mrs. Wolfe won the love and esteem of all who had the privilege o fknowing her, both as neighbor and friend. IT was in her everyday duties and responsibillities as wife and mother that her beautiful Christian character was most highly manifested, and her loss will be most keenly felt. Beautiful floral offerings were carried by Mesdames W Winter, Henry Nordmeyer, HEnry Ludeke, James Anderson, Sebastian Meyer, Fred Meyer, William Giertz, Charles Holtman, Fred Giertz, George Bosley, Herman Timm, and Charles Timm. The casket was tenderly borne to its last resting place in the Chebanse Evergreen cemetery by Messrs. James Anderson, Sebastian Meyer, Morten Rasmussen, Charles Holtman, Frank Lukow and Frank Emme, who attended the obsequies were: Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dost, Mr. and Mrs. Wm Peters, Mrs John Loging, Mrs. Rachel Cerotsky, Fred Wilke, Blue Island; Henry Rehr, Mrs. Charles Kraus, Mrs. August Rehr, MRs.
