Emma Conklin was born in early November, 1851 in Indiana. She provided testimony in support of the pension application which her mother filed based on her son’s service. Emma testified that since 1870 her mother’s only means of support has come from money that she and her sister Dora earned as telegraph clerks. She died on 25 October 1929 in Redlands, California. She is buried with her sisters Dora and Ada at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands.
