    "Emblem,3 b. about 1685; m. Apr. 8, 1703, Samuel Atkins, brother of John, who m. her sister Elizabeth, and b. June 25, 1679. They also settled at Chatham, where he held various town offices. His estate was settled Nov. 17, 1768, at which time his widow had her dower set out to her, and from which it appears that their children then living were:

    1) Henry, who settled his father's estate. 2) Elizabeth, m. Solomon Kenrick, or Kendrick, and emigrated to Nova Scotia before the Revolution. Their son, the famous Capt. John Kendrick, was the first ship-master who went on a voyage to the N.W. coast from the U.S. 3) Desire, m. _____ Sylvester. 4) Tabitha, m. ______ Hamlin. 5) Anna, m. Thomas Kendrick."
