BISHOP, Emily, age 89 years, of Sumas, passed away in a Sedro Woolley hospital Monday, December 10, (1951) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Bishop had been a resident of the Sumas district for the past 51 years. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Hoffman, Seattle, Mrs. Mary Remington, Mrs. Alice Mead, both of Bellingham; five sons, William E., Thomas, George and Arthur, all of Sumas, and Frank, of Sedro Woolley; 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 14, at 2 p. m., from the Gillies Funeral Home at Sumas, with the Rev. Canon E. B. Smith, of Bellingham, officiating. Interment Sumas Cemetery.
