Obituary contributed by Jack Tetrick: MRS. JACKSON LAID TO REST Mother of Mr. W. Scott Jackson, of this city, buried on Monday. Mrs. M. V. (sic) Jackson, widow of the late Blackwell Jackson, and mother of Mr. W. Scott Jackson and Mrs. James A. Grant, of Grafton, who died at her home in Jane Lew Saturday at noon at the age of 80 years, after a long illness of a complication of maladies incident to the infirmities of advanced age was laid to rest Monday afternoon. The services were conducted at the residence in Jane Lew, and the interment was made in the family burial ground at Broad Run. Besides Mrs. Grant and Mr. Jackson of this city, she is survived by five other children in the persons of the following: Lloyd L., of Baltimore; Charles, in Oregon and George of Jane Lew, and Miss Mollie, at home. In this sad bereavement Mr. Jackson and Mrs. Grant, as well as the other relatives have the sympathy of a large number of friends in Grafton.
