Facts and Events
Emily Grant was baptised on 5th January 1851 at Sidlesham in Sussex, daughter of Sarah Grant, formerly Farrow, and her husband Joseph Grant, a fisherman. She appears in the census later that year with her parents living at Mill in Sidlesham parish. Sadly, her father Joseph died when she was only seven months old. Emily's mother Sarah has yet to be traced after Joseph's death. By the time of the 1861 census, Emily was living with her paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Grant, at Mill in Sidlesham. She has yet to be researched after 1861.
