    Sister Emily E. Bateman, wife of our late brother Jason Bateman, died on 28 Jan 1904; her husband had gone before her, dying about 8 years ago. She leaves 13 children. She was the daughter of pious Methodist minister, but in 1876 she left that church and joined the Franklinton Baptist Church, remaining a member there until her death.
