Elzey and Nancy Hitt Anderson came to Henry County, Iowa before 1850. They are the parents to at least nine children, Andrew J., Elijah, Mary Jane, Henry, Martha, Edward, Alexander, David Andrew, and Eli. As of 1978, the stones for Elzey and Nancy were broken in pieces according to records of Effie Anderson Bergdahl. There are no longer any stone left to mark their graves. (from Find A Grave)
