Elsie Lambert Means Elsie J. Means, 70, of Republic, Pa., passed away Sunday, August 27, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born November 2, 1929, in Clover Hill, Washington County, Pa., daughter of Allen Lambert and Lucy Hands Lambert. Elsie was a member of Republic American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband, William K. Means Sr., brothers, Albert, Elvy, Robert, Wilmer, and Allen Lambert, sisters, Clara Brown, Alberta Weaver, Hazel May, June Shriner, and her parents. She is survived by three stepchildren: Roberta Crossland of Merrittstown, Pa., Joanne and her husband, Jerry Kovach, of Brownsville, Pa., and William K. Means Jr. and his wife, Pam, of Hibbs, Pa.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Paul (Florence) Prykull of Bentleyville, Pa. Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 29, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Andy Miles officiating. Interment, at a later date, will be in Dickerson Run Cemetery, Vanderbilt. References
