2013 - Obituary: Elsie Fournier passed away March 31, 2013 in Pioneer Lodge at the age of 91 years. She was born on the family farm at Ogema, SK December 28, 1921, the only daughter of Earl and Annie Farr. She is predeceased by her husband Darl in 1983, brothers Roy, Fred, Albert, Wesley; sister-in-law Clara, and brother-in-law Paul Telep. She is survived by her daughter Betty of Moose Jaw, son Pat (Lyn) of Lethbridge, AB; grandchildren Wes (Ann) of Lethbridge, Kelly (Don) Marois of Lethbridge, and Wayne (Claire) of Edmonton; great-grandchildren Eric and Ali Fournier, Alexander and Julianna Marois all of Lethbridge, and Jon Petrie of Edmonton; great-great-grandson Ryder of Edmonton; sisters-in-law Yvonne Telep of Niagara Falls, NY, and Margaret Farr of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Elsie joined the Canadian Air Force during World War II where she met and married her husband Darl. After Darl returned from overseas they moved to Moose Jaw where she lived until her death. She was a life member of the Rebekah Lodge. An avid bowler, she bowled with the Rebekah league for over 50 years. She loved to read and mysteries were her favorite. At Elsie's request there will be no funeral. Private memorialization will take place at a later date. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Pioneer Lodge for the excellent care Elsie received for her three years at the lodge. Flowers are gratefully declined.
