SHAW Mr. Shaw, 82, of East Freedom RD 1, formerly of McKee, died at 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 1984, in his home. Mr. Shaw retired as a boilermaker from the Juniata shops of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1962, after 45 years' service. He was born Sept. 4, 1901, in Puzzletown, the son of Lloyd and Emma (Butler) Shaw, and was twice married, first to Ruth Green, who died in August 1947, then, July 5, 1965, in East Freedom, to Ethel L. Heilmeier. Surviving are his wife, six children: Betty Ebersole of Angola, N.Y.; Lester of Largo, Fla.; Ray Cook of McKee, Nancy Butler of Roaring Spring, Richard of Eden, N.Y., and Dennis of Greenhurst, N.Y.; a stepson, William Heilmeier of Tampa, Fla.; 31 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters: Jenny Boyer of McKee, Lillian Kunsman of Hollidayburg and Anna Burket of East Freedom. Mr. Shaw was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. SHAW -- Services for Elmer L. Shaw of East Freedom RD 1 will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. Russell B. Norris. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. A son, Regis (Pete) Shaw, preceded him in death. ___________________________________ |
