CARLSON, Elmer "Ray" age 64, of 2715 Alabama St., passed away in a local hospital Sunday, October 5, (1958). Mr. Carlson had resided in this community for the past 60 years; was a member of the First Spritualist Church and the Modern Woodmen of America; was a warehouse foreman for the P.A.F. for 47 years. Survivors are his widow, Della L., at home; two daughters, Mrs. Elmerine Strickland, of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Mrs. Viola Coumbs, of Guam; one step-son, William R. Hughes, of Bellingham; one step-daughter, Mrs. Beverly Birkland, of Marysville, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Willard Carlson, of Bellingham. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Rev. Calvin Moore Wednesday, October 8, at 1 p.m. Cremation.
