From a Sheridan descendant: "Michael Sheridan, father of Ella built the largest hotel in Michigan in 1901 called the New Sheridan Hotel, (wow 3 stories) It is still standing in Cass City but they took the tower down which had the name on it. Because of this their names were in that newspaper all the time and pictures of the hotel in history books."

From a Sheridan descendant: "I just wanted to tell you a little info that I found out about Ella Irene Watson. It drove me crazy wondering who the J.W. Dilloway was who signed Irene's death cert. was, so I started looking for him. Checking back in my records I had found a census in 1910 for a Ella Sheridan, had one living with her father Michael Sheridan but that said niece, which he had one that name. In 1920 Detroit another Ella Sheridan living with a william Dilloway and it said sister-in-law, his wife name is Dora and they had a child John W Dilloway."This is all so comlicated but this is the conclusion. Michael Sheridan's sister Catherine (Sheridan) Callahan had three children and was a widow. The two I have are Ellen Irene br. Oct. 27, 1884 ( which could mean the 22th) in Canada. Had a daughter Dora also, who ends up married to William Dilloway and that is why it says sister-in-law on the census. Ella Irene must have been adopted by Michael and Meggie Sheridan and then she married Wallace Watson. Maybe she never knew she was adopted because in 1930 her mother is living with her (Kate Callahan) and it says Aunt. I have no way of proving this but I'm sure I'm right."
