Wife of James Thomas
Funeral services for Mrs. J. C. Thomas were conducted at the Methodist church in Cantril Sunday afternoon by the Rev. J. C. Austin of Pittsburg and Rev. Jay Waterman of Cantril. Keith Gaston sang and was accompanied by Mrs. Gaston.
Ella L. Houston was born November 21, 1875, at Lancaster, Mo., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Houston. She was married to Mr. Thomas December 30, 1896. Mrs. Thomas died Friday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Lester Wells near Milton.

five sisters Mrs. Laura Donaldson of Floris, Mrs. Thomas Pilcher of Ottumwa, Mrs. Frank Doud of Marshalltown, Mrs. Harry Schwartz of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. R. P. Logue of Houston, Tex., and a number of grandchildren.
Burial was at the Cantril cemetery.
