Wallace Parley Hamp was born 3 Apr 1853 in Fulton County, Ohio. He was six years old, or thereabouts, when his parents his parents moved to Gratiot County,Michigan. He was married on 24 Dec 1874 to Ella Kate BEMIS, daughter of Myron L. and Esther Bemis. Ella Kate was born in New York State. Wallace appears on at least one census record as Parley W. Hamp. Whatever the correct order of his names, he was generally known by Wallace. About the only information on Wallace known to Robert M. Hamp (researcher) was gleaned from his obituary. He was a member of the Macabees Lodge and lived in Flint, Michigan at the time of his death on 26 Aug 1930. He had moved there twelve years prior, having lived before in Fenton, Michigan. he was raised in Gratiot County, Michigan. He is buried in Bristol Cemetery in Flint, Michigan. Kated died on 23 Oct 1944 in Flint, Michigan at the age of 86 years.
