Name Elizabeth _____
Gender Female
Marriage to Philip Marshall
Burial[1] 4 Mar 1724 Harpenden, Hertfordshire, England

Elizabeth's origins and maiden surname are unknown. She appears to have married Philip Marshall some time before 1685. Elizabeth's first traced sighting is on 9th August 1685, when her son Philip was baptised at Harpenden in Hertfordshire. Two years later, she had another son, Joseph, also baptised at Harpenden. No evidence has yet been found of any further children.

In 1697 Elizabeth was mentioned in her sister-in-law Mary Marshall's will. Elizabeth and her other sister-in-law Hannah were each left half of Mary's "wearing apparel".

Elizabeth's husband Philip appears to have died some time between 1719 and 1724, but the Harpenden parish records do not appear to include a burial for him. He was certainly alive in 1719 when he was mentioned in his brother James's will, but when Elizabeth died she was described as a widow.

Elizabeth was buried on 4th March 1723/4 at Harpenden, nearly forty years after her first sighting as a young mother.
