  3. WIll of Elizabeth Turvey.

Will listed in the Bristol Wills Index

    The will makes reference to:
    1. A sister, Silvia Bird
    2. a niece, Mary Allbrook
    3. a niece, Love Bemereth (sp?)
    4. a son, Robert Turvey, stable keeper, who died before 1843
    5. Robert's wife Susan (now Susan Walters)
    6. a Grandson, Robert Turvey, son of the above, who was below 21 at her death

Her residual estate was left in trust for her Grandson to "Robert Turvey of Downend, Blacksmith"

It seems that the grandson's name was stated in error - all other sources have his as "William Turvey" rather than "Robert Turvey". Note that Elizabeth signed her will with a cross, which could have been because she was illiterate or due to her age. Either way this makes the likelihood of a drafting error more likely.
