    Elizabeth was a large woman weighing around 300 lbs. She had seven children by John Slates. She was an expert at spinning and would go from house to house spinning for her neighbors. She also helped raise 2 of Adam Slates children ( Solomon and Elizabeth ) after his death in 1831.
    Elizabeth died Jan. 28. 1855 and is buried with John in the Lutheran cemetery in Kilgore, Ohio.
