Lizzie L. Hughes, 81, of Joker, died Friday, Feb. 1, [1963] in Calhoun General Hospital.
She was born in Wetzel County, the daughter of the late Eli and Sarah Little Roberts, and was a resident of Joker for 61 years.
Surviving are three sons, Cecil Hughes of Joker, Oral Hughes of Charles Town and Ershel Hughes of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Opal Miller of Joker, and two brothers, James R. Roberts of Grantsville and Charles Roberts of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Hughes, in 1954.
Services were held at Bryner Chapel Church with Rev. Bryan Kendall officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
