Li lived in a large detatched house which stood in its own grounds in Thornton Heath, but nothing is known of her husband. A picture of the house at Thornton Heath was passed down through at least two generations of her eldest brother's family (a long picture Gt Grandma had - our mum had it eventually on the wall of the house in Bromley). She was considered to be rather artistic; when she moved to live in Capel Road, Forest Gate, she had a black marble fireplace on which she painted red geraniums, but at the house in Thornton Heath she was known to have a passion for white, having white horses and white doves. When she died, she bequeathed almost all her furniture etc to her doctor.
