Obituary copied from Elizabeth's Find-a-Grave memorial page: "Mrs. J.C. Mendenhall, 63, of 2501 Ohio Av., died yesterday afternoon at the Camden-Clark Memorial hospital, following an illness of five weeks. She was a member of the Davisville Methodist church, and had lived in this community her entire life. She is survived by two brothers, J.B. Jackson, city, and J.W. Jackson, Akron, O.; and by two sisters, Mrs. Guy Bush, and Mrs. Fenton Birch, both of this city. The body was removed to the Leavitt funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Parkersburg News, Friday, 20 September 1946, pg. 8."
