ILLNESS FATAL TO HUB WOMAN Elizabeth Douglas Dies At Local Hospital An illness which dated back to late November Thursday night claimed the life of Elizabeth Douglas, 23-year-old daughter of former Mayor I. N. Douglas, 115 Kline street south. Death, said to have been caused by heart disease, came in the late evening at alocal hospital. Miss Douglas graduated from Northen State Teachers college in 1934 and had been acting as instructor of debate and speech in the Clark city schools for the last two terms. She held several class offices while in school here and was active in forensicwork. Born Sept. 8, 1913 at Nobelsville, Ind., Miss Douglas came to Aberdeen with her parents when she was six years old. Besides her parents, survivors include four brothers, Harvey, Spearfish; James, Mitchill; Elmer, now in college in Richmond, Ky., and Henry, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Russell Barstow, east of the city; Mrs. William Obermeyer, 216 Lloyd street south, and Miss Ruth, at home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. |
