Elizabeth Davis was baptised on 13th March 1785 at Luton in Bedfordshire, daughter of Susannah Davis, formerly Outridge, and her husband William Davis. The family lived at Biscot, then a rural hamlet to the north of the town itself.

Elizabeth has yet to be traced after her baptism, as there was more than one Elizabeth Davis living in Luton at the time, making it hard to tell which records may relate to her.
