Thomas Horton of Milton and Rehoboth, Massachusetts, p. 34, says "He [Lewis Horton] m. 4 Jan. 1744 SVR, Elizabeth Cummings, d. after 5 Jun 1772; dau. of John and Martha (-) Cummings." The signifance of 5 Jan 1772 is that is the date of the will of John Cummings of "John Commins of Swanzey" (Bristol Case 7232) which names wife Martha, son John, daughter Sarah Pettes, daughter Elesabeth Horton. If this is the same Elizabeth Horton, the Swansea records of the births of siblings John and Sarah name the mother as Sarah, and it appears the father did not marry "Martha Pearry" until 1764, so Martha would not have been her mother. A John Cummins m. 1739 Martha Robinson but this appears to be the son (here).
