↑ Obituary publ. in Newark Daily Advocate (Apr 27, 1899) - "Working at Machine was Mrs. S.B. Porter, when seized with apoplexy, she died. - Perryton, O. April 27. - Mrs. Elizabeth Porter, wife of Mr. S.B. Porter, died suddenly at her home in West Carlisle. Mrs. Porter was sitting at her sewing machine at 5 o'clock last evening when she fell over dead from apoplexy. Mrs. Porter had been working at the machine and had not complained of feeling ill. She always lived at Perryton up to a year ago, when she moved to West Carlisle. Her maiden name was Alexander and she was 34 years of age. Mrs. Porter leaves a husband and two children, a daughter aged 13 and a son who is sixteen years old. The funeral will take place at Perryton on Friday."
