Eliza first married Alexander Peters on 14 Nov 1856 in Meigs Co., OH. They had one daughter, Nancy Peters, born 29 Apr 1857. Alexander was the son of John Peters and Sarah Steele. His sister, Eliza Peters, married James Jefferson McMillin. The Parsons family moved to Hancock County, ILL between 1857-1860. In July, 1860 she is living in Hancock Co.,Illinois with her parents, Charles and Delilah Parsons, and her daughter Nancy, Age 4. (Assuming she was a widow at this time.)

Marriage Record: 5 Aug 1860 - Miss Eliza Ann Peters married John B. McMillen in Hancock Co., Illinois. Marriage record states that she "has no husband living".

1910 CENSUS: WISC, Crawford, Clayton. Eliza is widowed, living with son Stephen McMillen and wife Martha. This shows her age 67 (s/b age 73), born in Ohio. Parents born in Virginia. Also shows 7 children and 7 living.

Jan. 13, 1911: Death Record, Crawford County, Clayton Township, Vol. 6, Pg. 75: Name: Eliza Ann McMillin, born Feb. 8, 1836, age 74 yrs., 11 mos., 5 days. Father: Charles Parsons born in Virginia, Mother: "Delta" Carpenter born in Ohio. Informant is James McMillin, Soldiers Grove. Cause of death is "Stroke of Paralysis", contributory is 2nd and 3rd stroke. Burial is North Clayton Cemetery.
