In the 1870 and 1880 federal census, the mother is "Eliza." In the Rochester Dutch Reformed Church baptism record of sons Nelson & George, the mother is Sarah Relyea. On Aaron's death certificate, the mother is listed as "Sarah C. Relyea." On some legal documents regarding mortgage defaults, Solomon's wife is Eliza C. Relyea.

Obituary from The Kingston Argus, April 4, 1900 St. Josen--Mrs. Eliza C. Relyea, widow of the late Solomon Relyea, died at her home Wednesday morning after a short illness. She leaves four children, two sons and two daughters, all residing in this place.
