- Pages 207-08. Will of Elisha Perkins of Orange County and Colloney of Virginia, yeoman, being very sick and weak of body, dated 10 Sept. 1741.
- To my beloved son Jno. Perkins four hundred acres of entry land lying and being in this county with my plantation called the Sevan Pins in said county containing one hundred and fifty acres which plantation one George Williams of Prince George's County and Provence of Maryland, blacksmith, is obliged to make a firm title to.
- To my son Elisha Perkins my home manner plantation.
- To my loving friend Mary Swearingen daughter to Van Swearingen on pacing stone coult.
- The rest, residue and remainder of my goods and chattels equally divided betwixt my six children (vizt) Ute, Jno., Elisha, Eliza, Phillis and Margret.
- To my son Joshua Perkins the sum of one shilling.

The widow and relict of the said Elisha Perkins refuseing to stand and abide by the said will, insisting on and claiming her thirds at law. Elizabeth Perkins the daughter of the sakd deceased prayed that admon. with the will annexed might be granted her.
